Chris Greenberg
Chairman
Mr. Chris Greenberg is highly experienced at building and operating successful businesses. As a business owner and executive, he has developed and enhanced his experience and strong business and technical qualifications, resulting in a 20-year track record of effective strategic planning, business development, and project management. He has a demonstrated ability to lead diverse professional teams to higher levels of achievement in a variety of highly competitive industries, cutting-edge markets, and fast-paced environments. He has a special aptitude to successfully analyze an organization's critical business requirements, identify deficiencies and opportunities, and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for enhancing competitiveness, increasing revenues, and improving customer service offerings. Mr. Greenberg has also championed multiple mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships with a keen eye on the future.
Beginning in 1997, Mr. Greenberg and his wife, Sonya, have co-owned multiple Express Employment Professionals franchises in ND and SD, where their mission is to help people find jobs and provide workforce solutions to businesses. Additionally, in 2002, they co-founded Global Safety Network, which has grown into a leading, national provider of workforce risk management solutions. Mr. Greenberg serves as its CEO.
Mr. Greenberg is has served on ME2C’s Board of Directors since June 2013 and is currently the Chairman. He is a past board member for The Dental Service Corporation of North Dakota and the Energy Environmental Research Center Foundation (EERC) located at the University of North Dakota.
Richard MacPherson
President and CEO, Director
Richard MacPherson brings over 30 years of executive experience from a variety of industries across North America. Serving as President and CEO of ME2C since 2016, Richard MacPherson oversees the expansion, development, and commercialization of the company’s proprietary emissions control technologies across the fossil-fueled energy sector.
Mr. MacPherson founded Midwest Energy Emissions Corp in 2008 to commercialize Sorbent Enhancement Additive (SEA®) technologies. Under MacPherson’s strategic direction, these SEA® products and processes were launched across the coal-fired utility markets in the United States and Canada starting in 2008. Mr. MacPherson negotiated the full SEA® patent portfolio acquisition in May 2017. Since that time, ME2C’s patent portfolio has expanded with additional patents and patent applications for use in Europe, Asia, and North America. MacPherson is actively pursuing licensing partnerships in other regions around the world.
MacPherson’s corporate vision for ME2C is that of an environmental technologies firm focused on sustainable, highly effective emissions control technologies across the energy sector. This was further reinforced with the Company’s rebranding to “ME2C Environmental” in early 2021.
Richard MacPherson is an active member of multiple professional industry organizations, including the International Clean Air Committee (ICAC), Southern States Energy Board (SSEB), PRB Coal Users Group, Edison Electric Institute (EEI), and IPAA (Independent Petroleum Association of America). As a Canadian national, MacPherson is also recognized as a necessary professional in the top 2% of the mercury emissions control technologies industry by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
David M. Kaye
Director
David M. Kaye is an attorney and has been a partner in the law firm of Kaye Cooper Kay & Rosenberg, LLP, located in Roseland, New Jersey, since the firm’s inception in February 1996. Since 1980, Mr. Kaye has been a practicing attorney in the New York City metropolitan area specializing in business, corporate and securities matters. From March 2006 to June 2011, Mr. Kaye was a director of China Youth Media, Inc., resigning from such position effective with the merger between the Company with MES, Inc which was completed in June 2011. From December 2000 to October 2009, Mr. Kaye also served on the Board of Directors of Dionics, Inc. Mr. Kaye received his B.A. from George Washington University (1976) and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University (1979).
Troy Grant
Director
Based in Halifax, Canada, Troy Grant has strong leadership experience in the critical materials and mining industries and with companies that are publicly listed on major Canadian exchanges. A graduate of Saint Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Mr. Grant has extensive business experience in investment financing and management of strategic operations.
Mr. Grant has more than a decade of experience as Chief Executive Officer with Elcora Advanced Materials Corp. (TSXV: ERA), an integrated battery material company with international operations that he founded in 2011. As CEO, in addition to his responsibility for the overall strategic operations, including exploration, business development and implementation of the company vision, Mr. Grant works diligently to increase shareholder value and advance assets. Mr. Grant also currently serves as director of several other publicly listed companies and is actively involved in the Audit Committees of each, including Elcora Advanced Materials Corp., i3 Interactive Inc. (CSE: BETS), Auxly Cannabis Group Inc. (TSX: XLY), and Cleantech Power Corp. (formerly, Alkaline Fuel Cell Power Corp.) (NEO: PWWR).
